Senior Frontend Developer

Our product portfolio includes MyBus excursions at destinations as well as guaranteed departure tours devised and delivered by our Seat-in-Coach specialists, Europamundo (EMV) and MyBus Landcruise.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in React/JavaScript/TypeScript and knowledge of Liferay to join our growing development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building high-performance, scalable, and responsive web applications within the Liferay portal framework. You will work closely with backend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver a seamless user experience.

· Developing and maintaining the complete user interface (GUI) using JavaScript/TypeScript and the React ecosystem (React, Redux, ClayUI and related libraries). This includes building interactive user forms, data listings, filters, and other UI components.

· Integrating these frontend components into the Liferay CE 7.4.x platform.

· Connecting the entire frontend to our services by working with REST API clients. Our APIs are well-documented with Open API specification to enable seamless integration with our backend systems.

· Collaborating with the backend team to ensure a smooth user experience.

· Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

· Conduct code reviews.

· 5-8 years of hands-on experience in frontend development.

· Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and the React framework.

· Experience with REST APIs and understanding OpenAPI specifications. Knowledge of GraphQL is added advantage.

· Working knowledge of GitOps, including managing infrastructure changes via pull requests.

· Daily use of Docker for local development with docker compose.

· Familiarity with Kubernetes from a user perspective.

· Ability to read and understand Jenkins pipelines.

· Basic understanding of OpenSearch (Elasticsearch) is a plus—you should be able to query data and troubleshoot errors via the GUI.

· Experience with Liferay CE 7.4.x and Java is a major advantage.

· Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
